Erciyes Technopark is ranked as the 7th among 85 Technoparks in Turkey
According to the results of the Ministry of Industry and Technology Development Zones Performance Index, Erciyes Teknopark has achieved to be ranked as the 7th among 85 Technology Development Zones in the 2018 general ranking held for the seventh time this year.
The 7th Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Award Ceremony was held for the purpose of sharing new technologies and outcomes with the public opinion which appeared as a result of the projects carried out by the Technology Development Zones and R&D and Design Centers and of giving the awards to the successful centers. Besides Mustafa Varank, the Minister of Industry and Technology; Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Çetin Ali Dönmez, Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Ministers; Hasan Mandal, Chairman of TUBITAK; Adem Şahin, Chairman of Turkish Standards Institute; and Habip Asan, Chairman of Turkish Patent and Trademark Institution attended the award ceremony held by The Ministry of Industry and Technology.
According to the results of the Technology Development Zones Performance Index, which was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Erciyes Technopark was ranked as the 7th among all of the technology development zones in the general ranking.
Prof. Dr. Recai Kılıç, the Chairman of the Board, made statements about the success of Erciyes Technopark, ranked as the 7th among 85 technoparks in the 2018 Performance Index, and continued his words as follows: “As a result of the Ministry of Industry and Technology Development Zones Performance Index, Erciyes Technopark has proved that its success is not a coincidence by taking place at top 10 among the ranking of all technoparks for the last 5 years. In order to be a country that is developing its own technology, we, as Erciyes Technopark, keep working uninterruptedly like the other precious technoparks of the ecosystem. Erciyes Teknopark and Erciyes University are putting the projects into practice to commercialize scientific knowledge and turn it into value-added products and technologies.
There are more than 1100 qualified personnel and almost 361 R&D projects are conducted actively in Erciyes Technopark, which has 230 technology-based R&D companies. Since its foundation, Erciyes Technopark, which has attained 1272 R&D projects in total and R&D turnover in excess of 700 million TL, takes firm steps forward to be a technological base of growing Turkey.”
